BHOP
/bÄ“ - häp/
verb
Short for "bunny-hop," BHOP is a technique used in some video games where the player jumps at specific intervals as they're moving. First discovered in the late 1990s in the game Quake, b-hopping while air strafing allowed players to gain speed and momentum. Players began mastering frame-perfect jumps while air strafing from side to side to increase their velocity within the game engine. As players completed each jump, their speed increased, allowing them to move faster than the programmed running speed.
WHY FLAMINGOS?
Here at BHOP, we believe everyone has the profound ability to express themselves in unique ways. Our mascot the flamingo represents the balance between work life and play life, the importance of community and belonging, socializing to let go of stressful situations, coming to terms with changes in your life, and new ideas and options that arise when you immerse yourself in the company of others.

Covid-19
IL CDC UPDATED 8/12/2022:
Masks 100% optional.
How it Works
Today, most PC/Console video games are played via online Game Libraries called "clients" (i.e. Steam, Epic Games, GamePass, etc) where players are required to register their own account with a personal email to access the game they want to play over the internet.
